Abstract: As important civil engineering projects, streetscapes pursuit safety and efficiency; they are also key urban public realm and the stage for city culture and life. In this paper, the urban core area of ​​Beijing CBD streetscape design is taken as an example, to explore the use of traffic calming strategy, highlight the priority area for pedestrian and improve the ​​landscape quality. At the same time, combined with urban design and architectural design principles, the design team integrates all resources, to create space where pedestrians can walk, exchange, sit down and recreate with a variety of street functions.
