Abstract: The trail system has been a strength of Guangdong urban and rural planning and construction, and a major measure to promote high-quality development and high-level protection. Taking the construction of greenways and South China historical trail as an example, this paper summarizes the landscape architecture design methods formed in the process of greenway construction, then puts forward that landscape architects should give full play to their professional advantages and inherit the methods to South China historical trail for its high quality development. It can also provide some methods and paths of landscape creation of South China historical trail for landscape architects
