Abstract:
Once an important business and travel route in Japan and the largest cluster of emerging industries in the modern times, the Seto Inland Sea was also an extension of the East Sea route of the Maritime Silk Road. It has always been of great cultural significance and value. The existing researches in China are scattered in environmental governance, industrial layout, artistic activities, etc., but they have failed to reveal the overall situation of social and environmental factors in the development of the sea area. In order to study the inherent environmental landscape changes of the sea area, this paper investigates the researches and practices on the governance and revitalization of the Seto Inland Sea from various circles and levels in Japan. Incorporated with its historical information and changing process, and through sorting out relevant laws and regulations, and topic discussions, it can be found that the basic research, innovative research and detailed countermeasures, which are dominated by the concept of general landscape, have certain effects on promoting the revitalization of this region. The landscape strategy has the characteristics of extensive participation of all sectors of the society.
