Abstract:
The contemporary urbanization process has made urban stock renewal more problematic. The conventional model of community renewal can hardly mitigate the conflicts between man and space, as well as the contradiction between the privileged class and the underprivileged of the society, which hinders social equity. To illustrate the positive roles of tactical urbanism towards landscape justice in the process of community public space renewal, this research explores tactical urbanism that has recently flourished in western countries in the aspects of spatial pattern, participation and sustainability. Based on identifying the renewal spatial object, improving the composition of the renewal subjects, experimenting renewal methods and approaches, implementing the renewal performance evaluation and feedback, the research concludes the practical paths of tactical urbanism for community public space renewal that promotes landscape justice and forecasts the application based on the specific national condition of China.
