Abstract: Residents' participation is essential for urban regeneration. There are eight reasons why the participation of residents is essential in order to regenerate the space where people already live, rather than creating a city by developing a natural space. In addition, with regards to proceed the participation of residents whilst COVID-19 is a threat, it is important to consider the methods in online and offline, and synchronous and asynchronous. Finally, the points to be noted when regenerating the space where there are residents in the area.
