Abstract
"Place-Based Education" uses local environment as learning place to develop the curriculum practice focus on natural and social resources in community where students conduct a study on natural science,social science and art disciplines.etc.The paper briefly summarizes the concepts of place,place theories and place-based education,hackles the context of place-based education development as the method of teaching.The paper takes the course of Tourism Culture as an example,discusses how "place-based education" can be implemented and the goals of the course project.It summarizes the results of students' research and the effects on the course project based on three parks study.It shows that "place-based education" has positive impacts on fostering students to deal with real problems with synthetical knowledge and to give the students opportunities to deepen the understanding for the leisure significance as well as the value of place-culture context in Beijing Parks.
