Teaching Reform of Ecology Courses for Landscape Architecture Education in Architectural Colleges and Universities

  • The "Five-pronged Overall Plan" in the Socialism with Chinese Characteristics era pushes ecological civilization construction to a new height,which also makes new demands on the undergraduate education of landscape architecture.Ecology courses have important implications for students to consolidate their theoretical basic knowledge and improve their capacities on ecological design.In this paper,questionnaire and network data surveys were adopted to recognize the current situation of ecology courses for the landscape architecture education in architectural colleges.Insufficient curriculum synergy,lack of teaching materials,and single teaching model were summarized to be the main problems in the teaching progress of ecology courses.Further discussions on teaching reform methods and strategies were conducted from the aspects of teaching content,curriculum system,teaching materials and methods.Suggestions on combining of ecology theory knowledge points and design practice in professional courses,and the intersect-teaching mode may provide references for landscape architecture education in reasonable layout of teaching system and scientific arrangement of education ideas.
