Construction and Application of Monitoring System for Green Plastic in Mega Cities

Abstract: ObjectiveIn order to prevent urban dust and reduce air pollution, China usually adopts measures such as covering the bare surface or construction sites with green plastic nets. However, the long-term coverage of green plastic nets not only affects the beauty of the city, but also gradually rots and pollutes the soil, posing a serious challenge to the human urban living environment.The People's Government of Beijing Municipality took the lead in carrying out the "Uncovering the Green Plastic" special work in 2021. However, there is currently no relevant research on how to implement the tarpaulin treatment work at home and abroad. In response to this gap, this article has established a complete workflow for "Uncovering the Green Plastic". MethodsTaking t00.he "Uncovering the Green Plastic" work in Beijing as an example, using remote sensing interpretation and deep learning as technical means, U-net semantic segmentation model was used to train the green plastic samples. Then, through human-computer interaction mode, the extraction of the green plastic and the management plot was achieved. ResultsFinally, six phases of the city's green plastic survey and monitoring were formed, and a work system of "construction, construction, verification, and supervision" was established.ConclusionThis article analyzes the changes in the city's green plastic from 2020 to 2024, proving that the work system can be effectively carried out in the "Uncovering the Green Plastic" of mega cities, providing effective references and suggestions for the promotion and research of such work in the future.
