Research on Micro-regeneration of Public Space from the Perspective of Everyday Life: A Case Study on the Former Russian Concession of Wuhan

  • In reflecting on problems arising from the planning and development of the former Russian concession in Wuhan, this paper puts forward the re-interpretation and analysis of public space of the former Russian concession in Wuhan from the perspective of everyday life. The survey methods include Trace Observation, PSPL and so on. Three kinds of strategies of micro-regeneration of public space are summarized, including elastic setting, micro-increment design and low technology regeneration. It is believed that the updating of the public space system will be completed through accumulation of micro-regeneration of public space. And one sample point of public space is selected for specific operation.
