Research on the Plant Community Fabric and Landscape Site-design from the Perspective of Ecological Wisdom—Take the Chicago Public Green Space as an Example

Ecological wisdom is a kind of practical philosophy that can be widely used in landscape design. As the excellent public space plant landscape design, Lurie Garden, Shedd Garden, Stearns Quarry Park not only had the obviously characteristic plant community fabric, but also had become the successful examples of promoting the sustainable development of urban ecological environment, which provided people with an ideal activities site through the ecological wisdom of the plant community site-design. Through the three green areas, the characteristics of plant community fabric were summarized. On this basis, the plant community’s improvement of the site ecosystem was promoted by planting the site space, the natural scenery of the plant landscape, the construction of the plant community with the urban biodiversity, and proposed the ecological wisdom interpretation of plant community fabric and landscape site-design in Chicago urban public green space.
