Gardens in the South of Yangtze River are the Best in China, Jichang Garden is the Best in the South of Yangtze River

Jichang Garden is an important work of gardening and rockery design by the Zhang Nanyuan School. As an early example of the works of Zhang Nanyuan’s descendants, this work inherits the essence of Zhang Nanyuan's gardening concept and creates the realm of real mountain forest. The construction and renovation of Jichang Garden was presided over by Zhang Shi in cooperation with Qin’s descendant Qin Songling, making it a first-rate garden. Today, the government should study and protect Jichang Garden with the Qin family, as the family spirit is one of the cores of Jichang Garden and a Chinese culture worthy of rejuvenation. Jichang Garden can further enhance the protection management and restore the artistic features of the flourishing periods of gardening in the Ming and Qing dynasties.
