Abstract
The Cryptogamae Brook is an important place for cryptogamae research and science popularization Fairy Lake Botanical Garden of Chinese Academy of Sciences in Shenzhen. Scientific restoration and creation of a suitable habitat for the growth of cryptogamae is of vital importance. By summarizing the current situation of the vegetation in the Cryptogamae Brook, this research puts forward four habitat restoration strategies, which are “building a five-fold plant habitat, restoring the upper canopy density, elevating the humidity of the Cryptogamae Brook, and increasing the variety of Cryptogamae” from the aspects of establishment of the cultivation base, science exhibition, and researches. In the period of one to three years after the completion of the project, this research explores the new cryptogamae species in the Cryptogamae Brook through on-the-spot investigations about the restoration, in a bid to provide an instance on theory and practice for restoration habitat of the same type of plants in the future.
