Abstract:
Objective As a major water transportation infrastructure, canals connect different waters or basins through artificial construction, so as to meet the functional requirements of navigation, water diversion and irrigation. In view of the development requirements of greening water transport infrastructure, more consideration needs to be given to ecological factors during the construction of canals and waterways, with a view to minimizing the impact of construction on the ecosystem, and promoting ecological conservation and landscape utilization. Methods Taking the national large-scale canal waterway practice-Yangtzeto-Huaihe Water Diversion Project as an example, this research, based on GIS spatial data processing and map overplay analysis, achieves the overplay analysis and visual presentation of the spatial information along the canal by virtue of relevant information on topography, climate, vegetation and humanistic landscape resources. Results Relying on the linear space of the canal, it is proposed to restore ecological connectivity and localization of landscape as a dual strategy to form 7 thematic display landscape zones, and choose 4 core nodes to control the linear spatial changes and landscape narrative section, thus forming a complete ecological and humanistic landscape construction path of the canal. Conclusion By comprehensively analyzing the construction elements of canal ecological landscape, and fully integrating the ecological restoration and cultural attributes of the canal, this research explores the strategy for constructing ecological landscape of canal waterway based on the integration of nature and humanity, so as to provide the support of landscape planning method for the construction of green ecological water transport infrastructure in the context of ecological civilization.
