Abstract:
In the early 2018, Quanzhou city started to build ecological continuous belt as new urban planning practice from Jinjiang Bridge to Shishi Hanjiang Wetland Park region, with the effort of solving the increasingly serious environmental problems caused by the rapid urbanization of Quanzhou city. The practice focuses on the concept of 'city within landscape' and low impact development (LID) as the planning idea, which aims to build a multi-functional and blue-green ecological network system for enhancing continuity space in Quanzhou city, and realize the continuity of the eco-space. This paper will also take practical situations from all stages of city development into consideration, so as to enhance the practicality of the planning, and create 'Viable Landscape' that can meet the current demands and reserve the potential for the future by establishing a sustainable and ecological method.
