Abstract:
The approach to contemporary landscaping that is developed here refers to the territorial dialectics. This is a proposal of work methodology for the insertion of the intangible in the project that has the same level as the parameterized inputs. In the territorial dialectics the landscape of an identity is its physical landscape, which is changeable in time, and the intangibles, which are permanent in time. In the article it is presented how until the end of the 20th century landscaping projects could be analyzed as the contemporary expressions of identities that remain the same over the course of time. Memory, paradise, arcadia, control, contemplation, liturgy, knowledge, the processes, the sublime, permanent emergency are the identities whose contemporary projects are presented. However, there are radical changes that have been generated due to the technological (r)evolution at a hectic pace, the new horizons of knowledge, cybernetics, artificial intelligence, virtual reality, etc that have no humanism, and there is also massive consumption of the resources of the planet in which we are immersed. All of this doesn’t allow present dynamic landscapes to be linked to previous identities. Therefore the construction of identities, which are based on mixing as well as on simultaneity, are needed.
