Abstract:
Water management is a water ecology restoration method based on rainfall and geomorphic characteristics, which can, through simulating the runoff process of natural rainfall, comb water veins,manage water quantity, treat water quality and regulate habitats by Nature-based Solutions, thus restoring the natural hydrological cycle, promoting the health of water ecosystem and optimizing the internal relationship between various elements of life community. Taking the ecological restoration of Guangyang Island as an example, this research figures out a water management method and technology integration system centered on the ten steps of “rainwater analysis, runoff simulation, detention identification, conflict assessment,runoff reorganization, natural infiltration, natural purification, natural accumulation, recycling and reuse, and scenario presentation”, which aims to make each drop of rainwater flow naturally to the most suitable place after falling to the ground, thus presenting rich and diverse scenarios such as mountain stream and terrace,impounding pond and paddy field, small and micro wetland, and ecological lake and pond.
