Abstract:
Since community sports parks are widely constructed in high-density cities in China as an important method to enhance a healthy community environment, the equity of spatial allocation of these parks has become a key issue. In the research on the central urban area of Chongqing, the spatial characteristics and socio-economic factors are introduced into the study of health equity with regard to the community outdoor recreation and sports space via incorporation of the built-up quality evaluation and correlation analysis, and the health equity characteristics and influence mechanism of community sports parks built with the margin-offcut land are primarily analyzed with the three key spatial factors as spatial accessibility, site sharing and configuration standard. It is found in the study that: 1) The overall built-up quality and configuration standard indicators of community sports parks show a more obvious trend of heterogeneity linked to residents’ economic level; 2) Although the indicators of spatial accessibility and site sharing have shown no obvious characteristic of spatial differentiation, considerations shall be made to the adaptation and constraints of multiple factors on the site's recreation and sports service capacity and health equity, including street network, community environment and other spatial factors. Based on this, it puts forward suggestions for the construction and optimization of community sports parks and similar recreation and sports spaces in the stock renewal stage in terms of resource allocation, health design and delicacy management, etc. It provides theoretical reference for the planning of community outdoor recreation space and other related fields under the people-oriented orientation.
