Abstract: ASLA Annual Meeting & EXPO is one of the most influential landscape architecture industry conferences in the US and even the world. Through limited personal experience and follow-up investigations, this paper gives a detailed introduction to the participation mode, themes and major project contents of the meeting in recent years, makes an in-depth analysis of the characteristics and trends, in a bid to provide reference for potential participants, scholars and students from China. The author discusses the reason why ASLA Annual Meeting & EXPO enjoys such great influence from the perspective of the organization of the meeting, mainly including the aspects of the comprehensive goals and contents, strong sense of membership service, and gradually improved organizational strategy, in the hope of providing some reference for holding similar meetings in China.
