Abstract:
On the 490th anniversary of Jichang Garden, I was deeply touched and wrote an article to express my warm congratulations. Jichang Garden is a relic of the Ming Dynasty, featuring a natural and concise layout, charming landscape, a rare work hailed as “Though artificial, it looks natural”. Through theme understanding, site observing, name asking, general arranging, detail designing, further developing and borrowed scenery, the paper analyzes the theory and method of Jichang Garden building art. In particular, it analyzes the key issues of Jichang Garden’s rockery construction and water scene arrangement.
