Abstract:
In the era of rapid urbanization, high-density cities lack enough green open space. Take the Longhua District of Shenzhen City as an example, this research finds that park areas in the built-up areas are insufficient, while the ecological suburban areas are largely closed and unfriendly. Through such strategies as connection, restoration, suture and activation, the Longhua greenway ring project links the ecological land with the activities of urban residents to connect man to nature. The project has enhanced the image and brand of Longhua District, and promoted the vitality of urban fringe areas and the overall development of the city.
